If the breeze reaches from you to them you are done for that moment.  The only benefit is a psychological placebo effect, for those users who still manage the wind religiously and believe they have another edge from the cover scent.

I will agree with one thing Bone alluded to though; 20 year old eyes can see a whole lot more with crappy optics than 50 year old eyes.  The older you get the more optics quality matters.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Optics and boots!   Forget most of the other crap.

I can honestly credit Huntnphool 100% for convincing me to invest in better optics.   I used to make fun of the folks spending the money for them as I ran around with my 40$ bushnells.  Then I was out on his boat with him and he let me look through his Swaros.   That trip cost me 2 grand. LOL!
Im just thankful I got most of the accidents out of my system before moving onto them, like letting the mule crush them against a tree, leaving them on the back of the truck, etc.   :chuckle:

That was a great day Bone, still remember it like yesterday. I almost lost more than that, didn't realize you, Jackelope, Pope and Robo were that big, didn't leave much freeboard on my boat! :chuckle:

I think Cohoho lost the most after that though, he got so hooked on Sturgeon that he spent $100k on a boat. :chuckle:
The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first!

Those were the good old days!!!
The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.
