Which waders

My waders have pretty much had it and it's been many years since I have purchased waders which waders do you like and why.

Cabelas, if they get a hole in them bring them back and you can exchange them for a new pair.

I was told by customer service at Cabela’s that since Bass Pro took over, they no longer honor the Cabela’s “Lifetime Warrantee”. I believe it is 60 or 90 days now. Just something to keep in mind in case you do go with Cabela’s brand gear.

I like the ones on sale for $100 or less, run them three seasons and then get a new pair.

I get about 100 or so hunts out of my cabelas waders. The are affordable but I buy them going in knowing I'll replace them in a couple years. I have heard good things about Roger waders too. People have way too much money to spend like their Sitka waders.

Cabelas doesn't do a lifetime warranty and hasn't for at least 5 years because of people abusing the system.

It has been less than five years since i had a pair replaced by Cabelas, but the notion that they stopped since Bass Pro bought them sounds about right.

Got a pair of the Frogg Toggs Grand Chesapeake waders. Absolutely love them. They have an extra lining of insulate liner that can zip out if you don't need the warmth. Put 6 miles in them on Sunday. Highly recommend.

It has been less than five years since i had a pair replaced by Cabelas, but the notion that they stopped since Bass Pro bought them sounds about right.

You got lucky then. I took my pair in to two different Cableas and they told me to go pound sand. The offered me depreciation funds (25 bucks I believe) for my used wader. I just bought a new care and kept my old pair.

I have been through a lot of waders over the years. If you put enough miles in them, you will get holes and have to replace. With that said, purely from comfort and function, I recommend breathables at the very least. I ran neoprene for many many years and went to breathable a few years ago and will never go back.

Used to love Cabela's until I had an issue with their warranty...will never step foot in one again...was considering the Frogtogg route

Cabelas warranty is pretty much the same as any other neoprene wader and they do go on great sales if you watch - at least they did before Bass Pro bought them.

I had a pair of frog toggs that I liked and lasted me almost 3 seasons. I replaced them with ll bean since they were having a good sale and they are great so far as well

I’m in the hunt too. I will never buy another pair of cabelas either. They just don’t make them with the same quality they did 15 years ago. I barely got a season out of a set before all the seams started tearing and I ended up with a 6” hole in my crotch! I think I’ll go breathables. Only good things I’ve heard so far about them

Add me to the list of people told to go pound sand by Cabelas.

Got a black friday sale of Rustic Ridge waders at Sportsmans this year. They do seem a little thinner than other brands of the same advertised thickness. Price is the #1 reason I purchased this pair and they fit into that category for me. I will probably go to a breathable wader next time.
