Hope you kill a stud! Is there a list of gear you have yet to buy or borrow? Just wondering if you need anything to make this dream a reality and if there is anyway I can help?

PM incoming shortly as well.
only thing I needed was a solid 4 season tent.  From early to late season hunts down here i run flourless shelters.  Mid to late season I take the stove.  Luckily a had multiple tent offers on here and chris (elkohalic)  hooked me up with a Hilleberg.  Besides that I have more gear than any human would ever possibly need.  I actually recently perged a couple totes worth of old stuff.  A guy can only have so many leaky sleeping pads and non functioning jetboils  :chuckle:

Did ya get some new pants yet?
I literally have too many choices for pants. It has become such a convoluted choice that I've decided to just not wear pants at all. Seems like the only logical option :chuckle:

I'd go with the Timberlines.

Got any plans on a mount yet? Hair should be about as good as it gets on those goats I hope.
I hate to jinx it but it'll be a wall pedestal or maybe a half mount.

I offered to loan him mine! But sadly he doesn’t fit man size pants and they just wouldn’t roll up far enough for him.

Fear not tho he will have Sitka in his backpack

I had a pair of Wiggys over boot waders on Kodiak and they were well worth it.

Well the wife is off on a work trip through Wednesday so I'm not able to get my morning pack hike in.  That means doubling my miles in the evenings.  Tonight really sucked!!!!! 6" of snow made for cold wet feet.  Good misery training I guess :chuckle:

That sounds like a great trip Karl.  I spent three Winters and two Falls on the Westside of Kodiak between Shuyak to the North and Karluk to the South dragging for rock soul and cod.  Beautiful country that time of year.  The Shelikof Straits can be brutal and flights in and out can be hit or miss..   What a great opportunity for you and your Brother.  I hope you guys make the most of it and are successful.

My wife is being selfish.  She said that we cant replace the dining room table with a lifesize goat mount.  She's really not being a team player  :chuckle:

Love it

Lots of gear stuff happening tonight.  Food prep tomorrow.  Kind of weird not just stuffing everything in my pack.  Can't fly with this. Can't fly with that  :chuckle:
