I had mine done at Benchmark in Arlington. Bolt and barrel. Totally happy with their work.

I don’t remember. I’ll see if I can find the receipt.

They did my bolt and several other guys from here awhile back. Excellent work, price, and turn around time.

If you go with benchmark they can do the cerakote as well.  I will throw up some pics when I get mine back.  Minus the fluting which I didnt do.

My bolt is being coated by them right now. Had it fluted, skeletonized and coated.

I had my tikka bolt done in wrought iron by LRI in a cheap group buy promotion & I’m happy with it. My son had kampfeld flute, skeletonized handle, bolt knob & cerakote. Turned out nice but was kinda expensive. I’d do Kampfeld if budget isn’t a concern. :twocents:

I purchased a Remington 700 .260 Mountain Rifle at a great price, probably 98% but the bolt had some marks on the jeweling that wouldn’t be removed without messing up the jeweling. I was told that a guy looked at it before me and didn’t buy it because of those marks, which I couldn’t believe at the offered price. I purchased it anyway knowing what a great deal it was.

Sent the bolt to LRI and thought I’d show the before and after pics. Needless to say I’m very happy.!

I will be getting my bolt back in the mail tomorrow from LRI. Exactly 2 weeks from the date I mailed it to them. Their customer service is awesome. They send you an email with a status update and photo , each time something changes (received, fluted, cerakoted, shipped). Here’s the picture they included on my order tracking. Bolt fluted, bolt shroud faceted, and then cerakoted.

My total order was like $138 with the return shipping. There is one spot on the bolt handle that I can’t tell if the cerakote is a little thin or what but it’s a little off-color.

Can they flute a stainless barrel?

I’m getting the itch after looking at all the pictures.

Mine is flawless, skeletonizing, Cerakote and fluting are perfect.

 Mine was about $180

Looks great but man I can't believe you didn't have that god awful looking J lock wart removed.  :yike:

One of my Rem 700 builds had that fugly J lock wart and it went bye bye right away.

Keep in mind this is a standard Rem 700 Compact synthetic ADL....kids gun, that we worked on to give it a little more “cool factor” for my son. ;)

Converted to BDL with a new, non blah black ADL stock, bottom metal and bolt work.
