My son and I are converting his Remington 700 .243 Youth ADL to BDL and I have a question for anyone that’s done this.

We purchased a new stock, hinged floor plate and trigger guard. My question is, will I need different screws?

Perfect, thanks Jerry. I did a search but couldn’t find a video that said specifically that I needed a new front screw.

After receiving all the pieces I finally got it finished, it took about 5 minutes and worked out well.

I didn’t need the new screws I ordered, the originals worked just fine, I’m assuming it’s because the new stock is a factory Remington Youth stock as well.

I’m now going to send the bolt into LRI for fluting, skeletonizing and Cerakoting like the last one they did for me.
