To prevent poaching is what the F&W will tel you.  I asked that one befor.  I was told it was because it was to hard to tell if they were shot out of season.

As apposed to the racks without velvet, those are so much easier to tell :chuckle:

We have a couple of wet tanned mulie capes from Montana. Late season. What size do you need?
