Whistling Wings HRC is putting on a free Judges and Handlers Seminar in Feb. Its a good chance to understand what is expected at each level of testing for anyone looking to start running some test. Here is the post from their FB page.
This is a great opportunity to listen to the instructions judges receive on how to evaluate a dog’s performance at a hunt test, what to look for, and how the rules should be applied. It’s also an opportunity to learn about the new rules that took effect on January 1st, and to gain insights regarding judges’ expectations of you and your dog.
If you are new to HRC or hunt tests you will leave with a better understanding of the game.
If you’re an “old dog” to HRC, you will also learn something new that you will be able to use as a handler.
The seminar will be taught by our distinguished HRC Regional Representative for Alaska, British Columbia, Washington and Oregon - Elroy Olson. In addition, Elroy will be using the new national course materials that were developed for the seminar.
The seminar is open to judges, handlers and dog owners who are interested in HRC. Membership is not required to attend, but if you’d like to become a member we can help you with that at the seminar. The seminar is free, but there may be a small charge to cover the actual cost of written course materials if you would like to receive a copy.
