Snake River Unit Oregon - Opportunity

Went to the Sportsman Show in Portland yesterday and looking for an outfitter who did drop camps in the Snake River Unit and they are sold out for 2019. I have 16 points and my buddy has 13 and it takes 12 to draw. We are tired of wasting our money and want to hunt so we are looking for someone who may want to pack us in, we would pay, or someone who has stock or has hunted the unit before that doesn't have enough points and would like to put in with us as partners and use our points so you could hunt if you have stock or know the unit and even have a boat and have floated it and familiar. We are open to options and we didn't wait 16 years to sit in camp and not hunt. We plan on taking the full season to hunt and a few days prior to scout as well as time in the summer scouting also. Just throwing this out there and hoping to find someone that wants to take advantage of our points. We are open to options. Thanks for reading.

Don’t forget river access there’s a few outfitters that do drop camp on river. You have to hunt up but with all the pressure from the top it works out.

exactly what Id do on this hunt. most those elk after about day 3 move to about halfway down from the top and halfway up from river and some get right on the river.Id rather pack elk meat down than up :chuckle:

Does anyone have any experience hunting from the river that they would be willing to share? It's something we are seriously considering. Thanks

Killgore adventures who runs tours and fishing out of Pittsburgh landing does shuttles for hunters up the river. Pretty sure there a couple other outfits too.
