I was just looking back at the year long fishing profile thread where someone mentioned how beautiful alpine trout are, and I couldn't agree anymore. Instead of jacking the thread I figured I might as well make a new one and add some fish I found "extra" pretty from this summer. All were caught on flies and released right after snapping the pictures.

If any other guys have any high country trout pictures feel free to share, I always like seeing these beautiful fish!

Here are the pictures. All of these were from different lakes, I thought it was cool to look at all of the different colors and sizes from each different lake!

Dang! That's a fat westslope cutt. I like the two golden's as well. I didn't catch much bigger then 10" this year. I went to a couple lakes trying to time the stocking cycle for lunkers and ending up getting skunked. What elevation were you catching those at?

About 5,500 feet I think. As far as the planting reports go back I don't
see anything for any of these lakes. They make for a great time on a 3-5 weight!

Does that second fish have a throat slash? Looks like it could be a golden/cutthroat hybrid

Yeah it has cuts, it is a hybrid with some other type of cutthroat. There is a huge variety of colors of fish in that lake. I'll post some other examples from the lake. All of the fish I posted were cutthroats. I have yet to catch a golden, they have got to be the most finicky fish on the planet. I swear those little buggers are cursed!

The second one looks to be a cutthroat x golden hybrid. Do you see the white tips on the fins. Also, one pic in the second set appears to have purple par marks.
