Possible wolves sighted in Duvall today.
« on: February 26, 2019, 10:08:28 PM »
Up near Lake Margaret for those familiar with the area.  I know some folks up there who are in contact with the landowner where they were seen. Hoping to hear a follow up from the WDFW. I will update if I do.

Propaganda seems like a strong word.
The comment says something to the effect that ...the wolf looked something like this....
Who knows what they were. A buddy who lives up there said the tracks were too big to be coyotes. Didn’t say they were wolf tracks...just too big to be coyotes.

Wolf tracks are going to be about 5" in size and 3 or 4 feet between steps, bigger in size and stride than most dogs, they are incredibly huge. I would expect wolves to show up soon, they are running out of new territory on the east side!  :dunno:

If/when they show up on the west side this would be a logical place.  Stevens, to Money Creek, to the off-limits SF Tolt reservoir, to the pipeline road, to Duvall is a very easy route. They were documented in the Chiwaukum 4 years ago. http://www.spokesman.com/blogs/outdoors/2015/may/21/wolf-documented-between-leavenworth-and-stevens-pass/

Stevens to Money creek where did that come from why not Index creek. Besides they go where there is food not where non is present.

Shouldn't be very hard at all with the millions of people on that side and the ability to set trail cams.  :twocents:

There have been wolves on the wet side for several years. Wasn't there a report a couple months ago about wolves around Everett or something?
