Anyone have any experience with McMillian synthetic stocks?

They’re pretty darn good. The owners son started up his own company making a more economical model, his company is Greyboe. Only ones that have rights to make those stock designs.

I have 2 of the Remington hunter stocks from Mcmillan. I like the way feel but they are heavy and spendy too!

I have one of their stocks on my Rem 700 KS Custom Mt Rifle.  Liked it so much I bought one of the ultra light edge stocks for my brother's Mt Rifle.  For a light weight Mt Rifle they work great. IMO

Give Manners a look too. They will send samples out for you to try.  Mcmillan wont.  Both can be 5 month lead times for custom orders or see Stockys.com

I've had several McMillan stocks, they are a big step up over most factory stocks. If you're worried about weight go with edge fill. The last three aftermarket stocks I've gone with have been manners . Personally I think they are a better stock, but it's subjective as both are very good. Only factory stock I've seen that is as good as either is the one on a kimber Montana. The manners have all been a true drop in fit with no work, one McMillan took about five minutes to get right.

I have a few McM stocks, two A5's and a Rem Varmint.  McM makes a top shelf product.  As has already been mentioned, Manners, also makes an equally top shelf product, IMO, you can't go wrong with either.

Thanks for the info guys. I am looking to replace my Weatherby stock. My gunsmith friend in AK uses them but says I will probably have to check the bedding for sure.

Just a heads up. There is a stock company called Grayboe. It was started by the founder of Mcmillan stocks son, Ryan McMillan who was a navy seal. They make great stocks. Similar to Mcmillan's but I believe they are production not custom. I own one and love it. A lot less expensive too. Just an option to think about.

McMillan makes a great product.  I've got a couple of them.  Very solid company as well.  When we ordered a shorter LOP for the rifle we built for Keegan (young boy battling cancer) our bill came and all that was on it was "tell Keegan we got his back."  Fine folks.
