Good news, but the people who have the least amount of impact of wolf activity (west side tree huggers) will tie this up in court for years.  Here's to hope  :mgun:

Nothing will change here except they may decide to offer even more restrictive protections for them.

There is a congressional bill, pretty hard to stop that if it passes!

Were already federally delisted here in this part of the state and we dont have a season.  Just because they lose federal endangered status doesnt mean wdfw cant protect them still.

That will probably never happen because I would bet Conservation NW and HSUS will file a lawsuit or run an initiative to stop any wolf hunting season in WA. They stopped cougar hunting which was already legal! Sucks but it's the reality!

The state may heli hunt or hire government trappers to reduce wolves in problem areas, but that's the best I would expect in WA.

Won't pass in the Democrat controlled House.

Exactly. It'll be just like the carbon reduction stuff. Feds deregulate and Bob and Jay try to make up for it by adding restrictions here.

If the Feds end the Wolf protections the Yakimas will likely start shooting wolves on their ceded areas. We likely wont have a season but tribes will be unencumbered my Anti hunters and their ilk. Plat had better start taking notes from his Colville relatives on how to stack them up.  :twocents:
