I might die
« on: March 03, 2019, 07:33:14 AM »
2 months ago i gave away my big smoking pit because the firebox had rusted thru and i just decided to get a new one vs messing with fixing it. Man i am suffering, i have not had a smoked brisket, or tri-tip, smoked steak or even a measly smoked burger in months. I think i might not make it. I'm becoming weak. I can feel life slipping away  :chuckle: But seriously tho, i planned to buy a new one as soon as my work season kicked off (outboard season) and then 1 week into getting busy the darn snow hit and boom, dead, no work for a months now. Maybe I'll start a go fund me

Where do you work and what do you do? Do you do side jobs?

My step son who installs solar panels feels your pain.

On a side note, if it lifts your spirits, I made your chilli recipe from the thread that was floating around a few weeks ago. Made a half batch but with full seasonings. Tasty.

Your fish taco thread has been making me so hungry, I almost feel like I'm the one dying.

I here you on neing slow, i missed three weeks of work in the end of november and 1st week of december. Havent had a 40 hour week since then. With the snow and sick grand kids i had two weeks where i only worked one 7 hour day.
This past two weeks i had sixty hours in. By the time you pay the morgage, utilities, cell phone, food & gas it doesnt leave much for entertainment.

Thank you for your contributions on here.
The weather will change here shortly and we all will be back to some good working hours.

What is perhaps more alarming is you only had one smoker! :brew: :brew:

Take one glass of whatever your choice of beverage and some serious computer time researching what you want.  Even if you know what you want,  burn some more time looking.  That way you can at least say your are doing extensive research before you buy.   :chuckle:

Already smoked some bacon today, planning to grill some chicken tonight. Couldn't imagine life without the 'Q!
