Apple and pear wood for smoker
« on: March 03, 2019, 12:13:09 PM »
I am trimming our apple trees and pear tree. Can any one use any of the wood for your smoker?
I will be cutting the limbs about 3 feet long and will tie them in bundles.

just make sure you let the wood season out a good 2-3 month in the sun (less if you split it) or the greenness will make bitter tasting smoke its gross.

Nice offer! I'm not too far away in Alger, I'll be headed to Oak Harbor sometime mid next week, I'll message you the day before to see if you still have the wood.

BTW, thanks for reminding me it's getting to be time to trim the trees...

Sorry, I confused Arlington and Anacortes. I won't be heading your way.
