Is that including a catch of Halibut?

If you are redoing the interior I would suggest getting rid of all that fancy carpet they put on them.  I grew up fishing bass / walleye out of Lunds so when I moved out here and bought my own that's what I purchased.   Solid boats but man having all that carpet was mess with the way we fish up here and flopping salmon, crabs,  halibut on the floor.

if you end up redoing the decking, shoot me a message and id be happy to help with all of the research i did regarding that process as I just did my north river last year.
i ended up tearing the old stuff out, doing marine grade plywood sealed on both sides with 2 part epoxy and then new marine vinyl.
lots of options, and budgets are the only limits  :twocents:

Lund says the max HP for outboard for this boat is 150, that seems high to me.  I would think a 115 would be plenty for it.

I relized I never updated this thread.  I ended up taking the boat down to just the hull, new foam, new everything except the windshield and console.  Motor was in great condition, carb rebuild, new oil/fuel pump, I rebuild a lower unit from ebay that was pretty abused.  Added a Merc 9.9 prop-kicker.  No more carpet all vinyl, all marine grade plywood (non treated).  To optimize deck space I moved the console and windshield FWD about a foot, while still being able to use the fish boxes.  That now just act as storage of fish box, they still drain and fill as needed but no aerator anymore.  The hull is perfect not even a scratch in the paint.  It tool a while and probably ended up costing the same as buying a working 1996 lund fisherman 1800.

We've up to Neah Bay and all around the sound, it rides surprising well for a light boat in chop and the reverse chine does a good job of keeping the boat dry.

Looks great, I was thinking of going with that same blue color you used for accent and like to see it on an actual NW boat for reference.

It may cost the same as buying a working boat, but you ended up with a much better product for sure.  Any boat of that vintage will 100% have water in the foam at a minimum unless it has a sealed back deck with scuppers.

That's some awesome work you did. Best looking PNW Lund I've ever seen.

I can't make out all the details but it looks like we run very similar rigs. I have an AF 1150 on a F350 dually and tow my boat. Is that Sekiu you are fishing???  I'm up there three times a year - gonna keep my eye out for that sexy Lund!
