New Mexico trappers prevail
« on: March 17, 2019, 10:25:15 PM »
New Mexico trappers can breath a sigh of relief. HB 366 died as of Friday night. The bill would have ended all trapping on public land in New Mexico. It had passed the House and looked like shoe in to be signed by the Governor if it passed the Senate. It was tabled in the Senate though. Friday was the last day to bring it to the floor for a vote.
Lot of work went into killing the bill. Kudos to New Mexico Trapping Association.
