Is the price driven at all that its for kids like at a 4H deal, or is that "market" price?

That's kind of a trick question.

My kid shows in 4-H but she also shows in shows that are not 4-H related. Lately she's been showing in open class shows with the adults. She's the youth rep to the American Dutch Rabbit club too. She's working to get more kids involved in the hobby and writes an article in the Dutch club's quarterly magazine. She'll be showing her animals in Reno this October at the national convention...not a 4-H function. It's a little crazy but I'd be hard pressed to find a harder working 11 year old :chuckle:
As far as prices go...$1150.00 is far from the norm. She sells rabbits to 4-h kids for $40-60...the same rabbits would sell to adults for $100 or so. She doesn't really have the reputation built yet to charge more for them and really it's not about the money too much. I paid $150.00 for a rabbit for her 2 years ago from a top national breeder. The most expensive you see the breed she shows is $250.00 or so usually.

Good for her.  Not many kids involved in critters these days.

If she can train them to lure wild rabbits back to me I'd give her some money for one!

@Rainier10  and  @Woodchuck   trained this guy.  He goes out on his leash and lures them in, then he pounces on them and beats them to death,  then retrieves them in his mouth like a lab with a mallard.
