Does anyone actually like the x-mark pro trigger
« on: May 06, 2019, 07:07:07 PM »
Just curious if anyone has had good luck with it. Remington sure talks it up. I'm not a huge fan of the savage accutrigger either but a lot of people like those. Anyway just curious.

I had 1 for awhile , wasn't impressed with it ( other rifles have Jewells). Went to a Triggertech Special and dont regret it.
Put the X-Mark in my brother's 700 and he likes it ( although hes only used factory 700 triggers).
As far as the Savage trigger I swapped out the spring in my 17hmr and its night and day better.

I like them because they're cheap and they're great for throwing a rifle that you've already stolen the good trigger off of, right before you sell the gun. :chuckle:

I think they're a perfectly serviceable trigger and good enough for the majority of folks, especially on a hunting gun.

I haven't had much luck with them. I am a jewell snob and some times will pimp a timney when on bugget lol. That being said I put together a quick build for my wife in 260 and used a xmark factory and it tuned up real nice and she shoots it very well.

Appreciate the responses. It's about what I expected. Pretty much figured on a Jewell although I've had good results with timney.

Triggertechs are my go to trigger for bolt guns.

Jewell's are an amazing trigger there is no doubt about it, I've got a few of them and they're excellent, but, they aren't without their downside too.  Jewell's do not like to get dirty and they won't take much abuse.  My last few builds I've switched to using the Timney Calvin Elite and they've been really good.

Dunno if I’ve ever kept a x-mark in a rifle. Gunsmithing school taught to take the Xmark and toss it and replace with a good aftermarket or the old style. I personally like the old ones. Cheap and tune nicely.
May my presence go unnoticed, may my shot be true, may the blood trail be short.

Amen

Triggertechs are my go to trigger for bolt guns.

Another Triggertech fan here.  very crisp and easily adjustable.

Remington should sell rifled actions with a bolt and a bunch of us would be better off by not having to throw away the stock and trigger.

I think the Bell and Carlson stock on the long range model is pretty nice
