Comfortable hiking pants?
« on: March 12, 2019, 05:09:14 PM »
What are a good comfortable hiking pants? Some that you could wear hunting to.? I archery hunt so they would be brown or green? I have just seen people hunting on shows and they don’t always wear the camo pants?

Curious

I have about 6 pairs of these.
These pants when purchased at 50% off are the best deal around for hunting or hiking.  They flat out handle the brush, breathe well, flex and dry quickly.  Just wait until they are 50% off.  Happens at least 4x per year.

I'm pretty much wool pants year round. Got a pair of filson Mackinaw's (thanks Bango) that are my go to for everything but summer early fall and a Woolrich pair that's a little lighter for summer early fall. Love wool, it's almost all I wear ever.

Unionbay makes a pair of pants that sells at Costco. Olive, Tan and stone, water repellent is great, comfortable fit, tear resistant. Bought a pair for North idaho summer hiking and was so impressed went back and picked up another 5 pair. Wore them and my usual base layer on an October Rifle hunt high in the snow. Super impressed with them. At 19$ a pair, the marketers of anything more expensive can pound sand.  :chuckle:
Just tend your own and live.
