Wondering if anyone has shot the new bdx scope system from sig optics. Recently received 2 in the mail and was looking for some first hand input from some users.

I’ve got this coming in the mail right now as well, but with the range finding binos. Excited to put it to use on our hunt in New Zealand next month. I’ll have a good video made on how it works!

pretty cool concept really.
illegal to hunt with in idaho. i could see similar laws coming to WA as these types of things become more prevalent.

Tagging along to see how it works. I love my W5. Thinking about getting another.

Just got back into service here in New Zealand, we all ran the sig BDX system and they performed flawlessly. Absolute game changer. Two of us had the rangefinding binos, the other had a rangefinder. We will have a good video on it soon, lots of footage. We killed 4 tahr, 2 chamois and some feral goats, one at 702 yards with the system, just range, and hold the dot right on!!

So what do these scopes do? Do they range like a Burris Eliminator. I have a Sig Whiskey on my AR and really like it, looking to either get a Vortex or a Sig for my new bolt gun. So I would be interested to see what these scopes are all about.

The SIG BDX system is like the Burris Eliminator in that it compensates for bullet drop at distance by means of a digital reticle. It differs in that the BDX uses a seperate rangefinder (binos or handheld) to range target, provide ballistic solution and beam it instantly to scope. The BDX advantages are many: sleeker scope, simpler ballistic data input, and far greater versatility. The Eliminator’s one advantage may be speed, simply because it has the onboard rangefinder, but it isn’t by much.

This is illegal in OR as well. ODFW slipped in a new rule without making it apparent or highlighting the new wording in the 2019 regs. Cute.
2018
Use an artificial light for hunting any wildlife, except raccoon, bobcat and opossum provided the light is not cast from or attached to a motor vehicle. This includes laser sights or any other sights which project a beam to the target. This does not include battery operated sights which only light the reticle.

If anyone’s looking for one I’m selling one in the others classifieds. Basically brand new.

Got my hands on one recently and I gotta say I am far from impressed. While the technology seems sound the scope was pretty janky. Glass is mediocre, eye relief is as bad as any scope I've used, reticle sucks, and adjustments are sloppy. It hits where it's supposed to but it's far from anything I would spend money on.
this was the 6-20. Maybe the lower magnification scopes are better
