Will do. Nice thing for me is, is that I feel totally lucky to have the tag, so I see bear, .28 Nosler go boom. Except for sow, cub...grizzly I guess. I never saw a grizzly in sherman or 49.

That would be bad, get excited to see a big old phase and not pay attention. Tell you the truth, Inhave not killed a black one, so if I saw 250 lb black male, done.

I've seen a grizzly in sherman. Wasn't expecting to..almost made a mistake but as soon as the glass was up it was obvious.

That would be a really nice bear!!  Average size boar in that area is more like 150-175.

all the bears I ve taken or watched in Kelly hill in last 30 years Id put 8 out of 10 or even 9 out of 10 as some shade of brown. I have only taken 1 myself out of all of them that was black.

My dad killed killed 18 straight bears from 1 spot he liked to sit that all scored over 18" 1/8 0 sows and 17 brown. All over 300lbs with one near 400.

Those are outstanding bears for WA.  My first bear, a sow, I killed up there back in 1994 was 15.5 years old and just a tad under 300, but she had just walked in from Canada.  :)  I've only seen one color phase up there.  I must not have been in your Dad's spot.  :)

whole area we hunt is almost all boars.  The sows do not frequent it much unless they have no cubs.

Sent you a PM.  Even if you don't see a bear you can learn the country.

spent friday in 105 pulling cams, treestands and shed hunting. Saw very little in fresh bear sign, saw 0 tracks in all the muddy roads, puddles and snow we were in. When the bears are out and active I can see tracks in about every mud puddle where I hunt

Grass is just starting to grow at 3200'.  Still snow in shady spots.  Haven't seen any sign.  Too busy to go exploring.  Did get a cord of wood in.

The Lake Roosevelt side of this unit should have bears out.  Its green as ever.  I haven't heard of any bears being seen yet but it will happen soon.
