Bears are moving. I was fortunate enough to have some good people to share the experience and lucky we ran into a gracious land owner who offered up his spot on a chance meeting. He hadn’t been I there yet this year but said to give it a shot.
Seen 5 bears in the last week. Put the smack down on one last night right before dark.we were alternating calling sequences. He came in hot and heavy we could hear him running like a tank though the woods. Put one shot through his chest at 85 yards and it was all over as he crashed to his death 50 yards from spot he was hit.
I’ll follow up with more after some sleep.

Bawling fawn and bleat from two different guys with different calls. Hit it hard and heavy so they wouldn’t loose interest. My brother got it on video so we’ll try to get it emailed over to me so we can get it posted.

This thread should be stickied.  I have a hunch there will be a good number of east side bears hitting the dirt real soon.  I cant be the only one chomping at the bit to finally be able to get after them on august 1st.

Can’t wait.my wife is ready for it to start so I quit talking about it and mulling over strategies.  My brother is coming over from the wetside Wednesday night when he gets off work. Hopefully we can make something happen in the three days he is here. I have trail cam pics of a good black one, a smaller brown one(tender bear for the freezer) and saw another decent black one a week ago checking cams.
