Just curious what you guys and girls wear while turkey hunting? I have first lite fusion so hopefully, that will do the trick!

Hunt in whatever camo you feel confident in, and make sure its comfortable to help you sit still!

Worry more about other aspects of the hunt like being able to locate birds with a quality turkey call...that being said I usually wear Sitka waterfowl Marsh/subalpine because it's what I use on other hunts

I like Realtree brand. I have their AP and some older darker hardwood patterns. I too like a little sub alpine. My camo is a hodge podge of what I felt like buying and what I've inherited.

I like Realtree hardwoods green. Any camo will do just fine, remember to cover your face and hands.

What ever I happen to be wearing.  Killed one of my toms last year wearing my high viz rain jacket with the reflective stripes.  Not moving is much more important

 :yeah:

In my experience turkeys key on movement. As long as you have something behind you to break up your silohette and you aren’t moving you can wear just about anything. And as tgomez said cover your hands and face and all other exposed skin.

I just bought my first turkey vest and it came in Mossy Oak Obsession, which is a heck of a pattern. That said I'll probably just stick with my army surplus universal camo shirt & pants I bought at Goodwill for $10.

Same as Sneaky said Sitka Marsh and Subalpine are my go to patterns. Honestly anything works, best turkey hunter I know rocks carharts and flannels, he calls in about 15 birds for other people to shoot per year. Don't move and you're fine with pretty much anything.

I wear a Kuiu Verde 2.0 hat and face mask, first lite fusion camo pants and a sitka open country jacket. I mix camo all the time and just use the best gear for the job. Moving is the biggest thing to worry about.

A lot of my stuff is Mossyoak Obsession (because it is the official camo of the NWTF  :chuckle: :chuckle: )  It really doesn't matter just be covered head to toe like a few have said a keep still.  I have couple sitka patterns now because I wanted some quality stuff to keep dry in the wet weather.  Wear layers to early season it may be near freezing but by noon could be in the 70's.  I took and active duty Army out last year on his first turkey hunt.  We weren't hunting just out bs'ing with the land owner and do some work on his property when a thunder boomer came through.  Lit off 3 toms up a skidder trail we ran.  He was pulling on a camo shirt glove and face mask and hat.  He also had blue jeans on. I planted him with his back to a big tree on the edge of the trail and told him to get his gun ready a keep still.  I called in those 3 toms and he gave the biggest one a dirt nap.  I got pictures of him with a huge smile and blue jeans.   :chuckle:

Its movement that will bust you. I was chasing this group one year doing my best to get in front of them. Three times I did. Couldn't get them off the creek bottom onto the property I had permission to hunt on. I rounded a knob on the last attempt only to see the end of the property. Sat down on an open slope with absolutely no cover, I was completely in the open and figured this one was a bust. Tired, I ate my sandwich, took off my outer layers down to my white long john shirt and sat there thinking about my next move. I then detected a small movement on my lft qt. A slight turn of my head revealed a couple hens and a tom cruising just behind me. I took the tom in a blinding turn and shoot move at about 15 yds. I had no camo, just a white shirt, no hat on and no face cover but I was still. These birds weren't the ones I was targeting and came in quite from behind, evidently following my calls at the others.

Had a turkey bust me for using the wrong camo. He came up and said that's obviously Mossy Oak and you should have used Real Tree for this area.

But in all seriousness I wear a camo top and earth tone pants. I buy whatever is on sale at Cabelas. I don't spend too much in case I tear it in the woods. My wife got me a really nice gore tex jacket but I rarely take it because I don't want to rip it.

When it comes to clothing I think camo is great and necessary for a lot of things, but even more important is having gear that allows you to stay comfortable and stay out hunting longer. A good turkey setup should have you calling the birds into range before they have the opportunity to spot you :twocents:

I second movement. If you fidget a lot, I would look for a different quarry to hunt.
Test your lack of movement near a backyard bird feeder. Try blinking fast. That is movement to birds.

First Lite Fusion Leafy suit.

I think being careful with your movement is the most important part though.

I just wear the same camo I use for big game hunting.  I've had turkeys walk up on me while deer hunting in blaze orange.  As others have said it's the movement that gets you.

I use a portable ground blind for turkey hunting.  Helps hide my movements, especially if I'm using a bow.  I have both the pop up style and the fence style.  I prefer the fence as it's more configurable for varied terrain.   Unless it's raining hard, then the pop up helps keep the rain off.  :-)
