I'm still on the fence, not sure if I want to jump into a long term project like Nevada elk.  I will probably start putting my son in when he turns 12 as it is a cheap option.

Going to be jumping in this year for elk. I have one question about their system though. Can you apply for a tag and a bonus point in the same year or is it that if you apply for a tag you can't apply for the bonus point as well? Just trying to figure out if I need to be trying to get 2 bonus points a year (unsuccessful tag app + bonus point) or if it's capped at just 1.

Thanks!
Also looks like theirs no "hunting" license option for non-residents just the combination license, correct?

In it to get a nice sheep, elk, deer.

So I decided I was gonna put in. Ya... last minute, but I got talked into it. Unless I’m reading it wrong, I’m screwed because I wasn’t already in the system so they can’t verify my Hunter’s Ed certificate #. I have to take a pic and email it, at which point they approve it, and then I can purchase a license.

I’m certain they won’t get it done tonight, but is that even a one day process? I mean, unless someone was working over the weekend monitoring that, Friday wouldn’t have been soon enough, not to mention if it involves cooperation with another state. Is there a way around?

Or can I purchase points later? I was only going to actually enter for sheep, and buy pts for deer and antelope.

Ok. So after logging in again I was able to purchase the license. So maybe someone is monitoring it and is on top of their A game???

Also answered my question on the points deadline. It is a little later.

Update: Shout out to NV DOW. They processed my hunter Ed certification within 5 minutes of my submission. Even received an email from a NDOW representative. Impressed.
