RC Cars
« on: April 08, 2019, 03:37:17 AM »
Anybody on the site RC cars and if so what you got? Been screwing around with mine again and kinda fun. I'm a novice to the cars but I have a Traxxas Stampede with a brushless motor and a lipo and nimh battery.

I’ve got a T-Maxx that has been has an extended chassis and big Team associated engine. My oldest boy has HPI Savage with the 4.6 engine and it is fast. The younger son has a couple Team Associated RC10’s stadium trucks. My duaghter also has a Stampede with a brushless setup.

Brushless motors and li-Po batteries have sure changed the RC game, what an amazing difference since I was a kid.

A couple of Team Associated T3's, brushless motor in one of them.  Haven't run either in a couple of years.  Need to get them out again.

Saw a stock Traxxis on the beach the other day - that thing hauled! Few years ago it took a lot of aftermarket to get that speed. son was running top of the line brushless with 2.3 hp which required 300m shafts but was amazing.

My son saved up for a Traxxas Slash 4X4 brushless by mowing lawns and that thing is pretty crazy.  We're in the process of eliminating weak links and getting it where we don't break it almost every time we take it out.

It is crazy how fast and responsive the cars are these days.  That car can do 60 mph stock which is quite a bit to handle if you are driving on the road.

Man I had T3 back when they were brand new.  Loved those trucks.  tough as nails and pretty quick.  I looked for a kit style truck for my youngest son a few years ago and finding a RC in build it yourself kit form these days is tough!  To me that was 1/2 the fun was assembly!
