Turkey hunting in Colville and places to eat.

Hey nothing wrong with zips. Met one of the nicest landowners and his buddies there last year. Now I've got a few places to hunt this weekend.

What makes Colville Zips better than every other Zips? I grew up in Colville and I don't think I ever ate there haha. Ronnie D's was my go to place and it's not as good as it used to be but I like the small town burger joint feel of it so I still stop when I'm up visiting family.

I think I'm going to agree with your logic.  Zips is Zips... 

The breakfasts aren't Zips, there's a contract crew that comes in for the morning hours and do their own thing for breakfast. 


Lunch time it switches back to Zip's food for the rest of the day.

Thanks I never knew that. I guess I'll be up there checking it out this weekend then.

They used to be in Arby's for the morning breakfast and was very busy,  but Arby's cooperate quit allowing non-Arby's menu items in a chain restaurant - so the owner got pissed and ditched Arby's cooperate and took down all the Arby's signage and tried to replicate Arby's menu but then later tanked and closed its doors. 

the breakfast crew from Arby's then moved to what is now Cafe Italiano for a time, and then finally onto Zip's.   

The old Arby's is now a very successful pot shop.


You might recognize the menu when you see it, they've been doing it for a long time.

I did go to Arby's for breakfast from time to time. I haven't spent a ton of time in Colville since 2001 so a lot of the places I'm not familiar with as I used to be. I'm not surprised a pot shop is doing good in Colville especially in that location.

Sporty's was packed as usual and out of prime rib, so we ate at the All Fired Up Pizza place in Chewelah last weekend and can honestly say it was the worst pizza we've ever eaten. Burnt on the bottom, raw on the top, pulled pork tasted like it was cooked in 2015, and the steak topping cooked in 2013. Beer was great though
