Ever think you must have missed the shot, after searching and circling for what seems forever?  :(
 After seeing this, I'll be giving the trail a better look see the next time around.  :'(

I've recovered 2 different broad heads, one out of an elk and one out of a deer.  I've also recovered an old bullet out of an elk and tons of shot out of birds.  This year I got 6 or 7 geese with .22 cal pellets in them.  They must have been munching on someone's golf course.

That’s amazing! I’ve pulled 2 broadheads out of elk before and neither were lethal shots. Tough critters

I used to hunt an island that was shotgun only. Both bucks that I shot there had buckshot pellets under the skin on both sides of the animals. I think some of the pellets had worked their way out the flesh.
