Transporting crab traps on hardtop?
« on: September 05, 2020, 09:00:08 PM »
I see boats with crab pots on their hardtops from time to time. Seems like it would be nice to get a few of mine up on the roof and off the floor. I use danielsom square collapsible cages, dont like to collapse them if i dont need to.

What kind of rack system do you guys use to accomplish this? Almost seems like a roof basket from a car could be used?

I have a 24 foot trophy with a hard top, never carry them up there. I stack them against the walk around rails on both the port and stbd side of the boat. Works great for me!
Never give up.... you never know what’s around the next corner or over the next ridge......enjoy it while you can!
