New tire time, can't decide which ones

After comparing tires for semi-trucks for 20 years and being just as bad for my pickups, this is what I swear by:
Hankook Dyna Pro 10 ply
and
Mitchelin LTX 10 ply.

I loved the Mitchelin the best. More of a freeway tire, great wear and probably the best radial truck tire on the market.

I shopped around and paid right at $225 each.

Both are 275x70 x17

2013 Chev LT 4x4 with Duramax and Allison trans.

Another hound hunter friend is running the Hankook Dyna Pro's, he had over 50k on them, that's pretty good mileage for a hound hunter. They aren't great traction but they are good for a lot of miles. There was a used set on a truck I bought and I got as many miles out of them as I'm getting with new Cooper STT's. But it seems mileage is never as good with aggressive tires.

M55's have been great for me. No traction problems. Properly inflated wear well, Never had a flat. I have to say the ride is a bit rough and there seems to be a lot of weights added to balance. I'm just being picky though, The ride is probably comparable to similar type.

Hey Yorke, I'm sure this is something thats likely already been checked, but the one that is wearing faster isn't by chance a different load range is it? 

It's been my experience load range E or 10 ply tires tend to wear considerably longer than the others.  You pay for it in ride quality, particularly on 1/2 ton pickups, but they just seem to wear a good bit longer.

That's what's got me so annoyed with this whole thing, the full set are load range E tires with the same date code. There's just one tire that's wearing down faster than the rest. This same tire has been punctured 3 times now and none of the others have had an issue.

I had a set of the Hankook Dyna Pros on my F150 for about 25K miles and they were great. I switched them over to my F250 when I bought that and I burned through the tread in record time.

I want to try to the M55s, but I can get the ST Maxx for almost $100 less per tire. Getting the M55s means I need to cut into my gun fund, and I really don't want to do that!

Firestone Transforce A/T is my favorite truck/suv tire....We use them on our type 6 wildland engines and they are a very tough tire.

I had the M55's on my F150 and they have to be the worst tires I ever owned. ZERO traction in the snow and ice, hard riding too. 10 ply tires. This is from experience living where the weather is horrible in Curlew.

I got rid of them. Certainly better tires for $1300 out there.

What Campmeat said.  I have owned my 2500HD for 17 years and have had only 2 flats/punctures.  Both of them were on the M55's.  Those were absolute garbage.  Terrible traction too.

The Michelin’s are awesome tires.  I have a set of Good Year Wranglers mounted on separate wheels, studded,  that are great in the sand and deep snow but, the LTX are far better in the rain, snow and ice.  They also wear like iron on my 07 Ram 3500 Diesel.  I can’t attest to how they would hold up on nothing but logging roads but they do see logging type roads each year for many miles and seem to do fine. I’ve never had a flat with them.

I run BFG AT's on every pu I own, love them. On the 76 GMC they lasted for years, can't tell you miles cause the odometer don't work but they lasted 2  engines and only had to replace them because of side rot. Is it possible that your one tire developed a wear pattern while under inflated ? Once a tire developes a wear pattern "under inflated or misaligned" it will continue no matter where you rotate it to.
Another thing, I set my camber as close to zero as possible and set the castor as low as I can get away with, and set the toe closer to zero to create less drag and take as wide of turns as I can. Helps a bunch on the cupping issue a lot of tires have. I don't know about all these other tires but the BFG's have been good to me. Every thing from sand, to mud, to snow or ice.

I ran Mich LTX's changed to BFG KO2's when they wore out. I give them both a thumbs up but the edge goes to BFG 265/75/17 load range E.

I've run Cooper ST MAXX's on my last 2 Tundras, get 65k out of them.  Awesome in snow/ice and mud.  They'll be my next tire again.

They have pretty good traction too, maybe I'll give them a try next go around. I'm pretty hard on tires pulling big trailers quite often, but if I could get even 30k out of a set of tires it would be great.

Reasonably priced as well. I paid $1325 out the door for 35’s.
