And how much money is being spent on coddling the many predators who's populations are increasing as we speak. Maybe some of the folks who have been accused of wearing "tin foil" hats because of their ideas of conspiracies and/or agendas against hunting in this state are not to far off base :dunno:.....and no, I,m not one who has been accused but I know there are a few on here who have been. One thing I have said after watching things since the inception of the WDFW and this states politics is, "something is not quite right" concerning hunters and hunting in this state, just take a wide angle view of what has gone on over the last 25 years or so, and if business continues as usual, where will we be at in even another 10 years, being an observer over what has happened, and being old enough to recognize the depletion of game and the increase of predators in most areas, I myself am not very optimistic.

Washington State stole our NOVA funds for ORV offroading. The NOVA funds are specific to the ORV community ONLY and had to be put back in that fund. They state got sued for stealing it.

Bigtex, maybe you can answer it better than me......
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

Just reaffirms my decision to stop buying any hunting licenses in this State several years ago.

We now have a confirmed black bear on Whidbey Island so predators continue to do well....   :o  :o

What an incredibly soft article. Hey we lost the $750k that was suppose to go to your public lands but we were able to save funding for the fancy parks that only benefit Seattle.  :bash:

"Be sure to take a minute right now to tell him (Jay Inslee) how much his support of public lands and trails in Washington means to you. Letting him know that you are paying attention and thankful for his support can encourage him —and other lawmakers — to pass even legislation to help public lands in the future."

Sure, let me get right on that with a bid NO THANK YOU, for not taking care of your whole state and the land that is more meaningful to the sustainability of our wildlife.

Wasn`t the Commissioner of public lands trying to (and may have been successful) add taxes to different type of insurance plans to pay for wildfires?

24.Fund Shift Park Land Rev for GFund One-time state general fund savings are made by a fund swap for discover pass proceeds in the Park Land TrustRevolving account.  (General Fund-State; Park Land Trust Revolving Account-State) page 339

http://leap.leg.wa.gov/leap/Budget/Detail/2019/soAgyDetail_0427.pdf
Note the word "PROPOSED" in that link.

After looking at the actual final budget bill sent to Inslee and the state's budget website it looks like this is actually all FALSE!

DNR is still funded with the $750K in the parkland revolving fund, which is partly funded by Discover Pass fees.

So hopefully this ends this discussion.

I think it takes some dedication to know how to navigate and find budgetary information.  What I posted was what I could find as I was trying to find it in the bill. If that was only the proposed changes I obviously didnt find the actual bill.
