« on: May 06, 2019, 05:42:33 PM »
Is anyone using Therma cells? Do they work? Are they quiet?
Thanks!

Love mine. Work awesome.  Not loud at all.  Turkey huntibg great but if your elk or deer hunting I would  get the earth scent because the itndoes smell.

I used on in Florida last year during a warm deer season.  No bugs on me.

I use them all the time.  They work great, don't make noise.  I use them while bear hunting and haven't noticed scent issues

They work for me. Seems to work best if you have a couple.

Used them in Virginia hog hunting.  Would get eaten alive without them.  No bugs at all with them.  They are awesome.

Love them.  I bought one for my bear hunt in Alaska years ago and it worked awesome. I use them camping and at archery shoots as well.

I've seen a couple of these things in action and they only work if the thermals are pushing the "bug b gone" essence in your direction.  That said, with the thermals pushing that same essence (essentially airborne pesticide), by/through your stinky self , and is subsequently moving in the direction of where any close target game are moving so they can get your scent.  Just saying  ;)

Agree with everyone here, they work great! Its best with no wind, but in a slight breeze just put the unit slightly upwind of you.

I did have an issue with one at high elevation, but apparently the regular units aren't meant for above 4,500 feet. They make a new model that can go higher now.
