Shrimping

I noticed in the regs the times for the openings are listed as 9am "through" 1pm. "Through" meaning how far "through" 1pm, until 2pm or what? :dunno:

It means 1:00pm on the dot fishing is over, your last pot needs to be out of the water and done. Depending where you are fishing there will likely be WDFW enforcement looking for this.

I had to go look myself.  This State consistently makes laws that are ambiguous creating more violations.  I’m sure they mean “until” 1pm, but why don’t they have a proofreader?  :bash:

Every time I see a "shrimping" thread come up, makes me think of this

Silliness aside, good to luck to all who head out a shrimping this year  ;).  That's one thing I've never done.

So you are the one guy who doesn’t go out?

It’s a crazy zoo.  Tide is perfect, weather forecast is insane this year.  Best outlook I have seen in the 20 or so years I have done it.

2 limits in 3 pulls for us in Area 10. 400’ by hand seems ok when there are prawns at the end!

What’s up with Everett charging $15 now?  Makes me think WDFW took it over.

Depending on boat size be prepared to spend around $380+ per month. Sweet service though.

4 limits in two pots. We earned it though, went to area 7. Weather started beautiful. Fog rolled in, brought nasty fog wind, 50 yd visibility and a nasty chop on top. It was a good thing we got out of there fast.
