After the gill netting the glory days or pike on the PO are over, but a few years back I had a lot of luck taking the boat upriver spotting them and then driving a few 100 yards up river and then drifting back into the area of seeing them.  I caught several on Dare Devils and bigger spinners.

They're pretty agressive - can catch them on really any type of bass gear. I haven't fished the river in quite a while, but we still hammer them on all the lakes around the area. Spinnerbaits are our favorite, but have caught them on literally everything. Frogs, chatterbaits, jigs, buzz baits, etc. If we're targeting them, usually stick with spinnerbaits as they hold up better than anything else we got. Swimbaits work really well, but don't last.
