a big clue. :chuckle:
Gonna have to join Timber this year in the bear picture taking department I think.  Can't seem to draw, 6 points here.  I usually bump into a few by now, but not this year.   They are tucked in still sleepin'.

Archery King, you do not need to give away your honey hole just to inform us which unit you will be hunting. Each unit has lots of honey holes. I have hunted spring bear in the Blue Creek, Wenaha and Dayton unit and took mature boars in each. Good luck on your hunt. Rufous.

Of the 9 bears I have tagged so far the bear I took out of the Wenaha unit in May of 2001 was the biggest. He was 13 years old and his skull green scored 20". I figure his live weight at about 375# based on his girth. Just his 4 legs without paws or hide weighed 120#. His hide measured 77" from nose to tail and 88" front claw to front claw. He was a big boy. Here are a couple pics:

My spring bear in the Blue Creek unit was a 12 year old boar. I got him May of 2005. I did not recover the hide or skull but he was a good sized and obviously mature boar. Here is a photo of that one:

Finally here is a photo of the bear I took May of 2007 in the Dayton unit with my 45 Colt revolver. He was 7 years old and had a 17 and 7/8" skull and his hide measured 6'6". He weighed about 275#.
