Hey NWshooter , that was a good hunt , biggerhammer made a hell of a shot that day ! Love all the people who think they "know" biggerhammer . World of information gone over pettiness . Well , guess some people are content thinking they know , we'll just keep enjoying his wildcats ! Next time your up here we'll go see hammer for a good BS session ! I'm overdue !

Did you ever finish that 338 you were working on? I was thinking about that one the other day.

Sure did ! I am currently only shooting 230 eld-x , and started getting pressure at around 3140. So , we , biggerhammer and I , figure right around 3125 was the "safe" max .

Been a fun round and real easy to work up a load with ! 73 grains of 4831 in a formed case is the max charge ! Built it light , it's gonna get my next elk !

Landon has too much time on his hands. 22cm doesn't need (improved)...

I shoot with Landon here and there. I’ve watched the BS here and there. Have you shot with Landon?  Have any of you ever shot with “BiggerHammer?”. Please post if you have? He is far from a glory seeker trend, but well in the know. “Too much time on his hands” . ????? Maybe you should grab a cold one and sit down with him and talk wildcats chamberings.  I was there with “ BarberBob” when he smoked a Muley at 847 yards with  one  his 7mm wildcats.

Oh wow!!! Let me guess, it was a 16" 2 x3??? Have any of landons "wildcats " gained any traction??? Nope.....

PS I've had a "cold one" with him, more than once....

Landon had a doe tag that year , yes I witnessed it and no , Landon could care less if they " catch on " . He doesn't do it for anyone but himself . If you've had a beer with him and haven't figured that out , I suggest having another one . I'm sure he'd love to talk about them more ! It's not about catching on , it's a personal issue , the "what would happen if " . I just wildcatter one off of the sage . It's done so well , I'm gonna do a sage to ! So are they catchy ? Apparently to someone who sees the value.

I thought the whole point of having a wildcat was to be the cool kid with something different? :chuckle:
