Kelly Hill bear down (pics added)
« on: May 23, 2019, 05:23:56 PM »
My son and I both drew Kelly Hill spring bear tags.  We made the long trip over and spent the first couple days getting familiar with the unit.  It's been a slow week with lots of driving and hiking old skid roads.  We've seen very little sign, but found some spots we liked and just kept grinding daylight to dark.  Finally scored today with my biggest bear.  It was so exciting to get it done with my son right there with me.  I'll have some pictures from my camera when I get home in a couple days.  He still has his tag.

Added a couple pics.  So much fun hanging out with the kid.  A little side note..  We got pulled over on the way home going a little too fast.  Turns out the Stater was a bear hunter himself, so there we were talking bears and hunting for 20 minutes on the shoulder of 395.  :chuckle:

Well done, make it 2!
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.
