great buck, but like pope said...not as big as expected. a fair number of bucks bigger than that get killed every year. why would someone choose to score their buck SCI and not B/C ? don't get me wrong 226 is a pig...

because it's easier to be record material? i don't know...not a jab but a question.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Maybe for SCI, but doesn't hold a candle to some of the greatest typicals killed.  209" net B&C (not official) in Muley Crazy (inflated scores).  The Burris buck nets nearly 20 more inches.  Still a great deer, though.

I think everyone would agree it is a toad.  I am sure that all of us would sell our eyeteeth for a shot at a buck like that.  I think we all are a little suprised that a 226" buck is the pending SCI World Record though... :dunno:  I would have sworn they have scored bigger bucks than that.

that buck would only gross score about 6 inches less than the burris buck which is the current b&c #1 typical but in b&c he gets killed by the inline on the left antler and the cheater on the right thats why he scores well on sci and wouldnt score well b&c
