Cougar Attack in Leavenworth Park
« on: June 02, 2019, 06:42:31 AM »
A young child escaped 'serious injury' in an attack at the Enchantment Park in Leavenworth last night at dusk.
Can't get the link to load.  Cat was caught and euthanized.
It never changes, but it is always different.

Such a shame. Can we go back to permits and hounds now? No brainer that this was a great way to manage lions, and keep them afraid of humans.
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

When cougars start moving into town on a regular basis you know there is an overpopulation, lack of food, or lack of fear.

Take your pick.
If I need a permit and education to buy a firearm than women should need a permit and education  before getting an abortion.

Voting for Democrats is prima facie evidence you are a skirt wearing, low T, beta male. Do better.

I heard a cougar was shot in Quilcene (Hood Canal) the other day in town.  It had been hanging around the school.  Supposedly the school was put on lockdown a couple times.

I hope the kid is ok.  That's really scary. Maybe this type of situation happening in a place like Leavenworth, might open the eyes of some yuppies and help the them begin to realize as the predators get closer to home, something needs to be done.

My wife and I were just there a couple weeks ago. Took a dusk walk through there and saw several deer. Lots of people traffic though. Glad the kids ok.

The news said repeatedly that attacks are very rare  :bash: calming everyone's fears, someone just got killed dumarses. I bet another attack by end of summer. Be prepared. In winter my bro had tracks in the snow on his deck, he lives in Bonney lake.
I have Man Chit to do

I wonder what kind of dogs the people have?  According to the media, the dogs are the heros of the day.   They were not going to let anything mess with their little person.
