Someone did according to the creel reports.  Looks like folks are hooking into the residents.

Hit quick limits yesterday in the morning across from Shilshole in MA 10.  I usually fish MA 11 and I'm still pissed that WDFW waited until 4am on 5/31 to post the closure for MA 11.  I bought my license in April not realizing that the MA 11 season would be a month shorter, with less dates you can fish and a smaller catch quota.  Not to mention the increase in fees this year and wdfw cutting services.  They should cut staff instead

My dad and I fished Jeff Head Monday morning. We caught out limits in about 45 minutes.

Any particular time a guy needs to be out there to get them? Tide change, early morning etc... My dad is doing better after his cancer surgery so I think it’s time to get him out after something.

look for riptides. They're feeding on Krill which gets congregated in the rips. before 9am is best. My buddy guides at Jeff Head and finds them in the late morning and afternoon as well but less. Troll around until you find them.  When you get bit or hook into one, circle around because they're schooled.

Downsize you lures and troll fast. We caught all our fish on a green and white glow needlefish ace hi fly 20 inches behind an 8 inch flasher with a drop of herring oil on the head of the fly. GPS trolling speed was around 3.5 MPH, fishing 40 feet deep.

Holy smokes, just checked weekend tides.  If anyone wants a few laughs just show up at the Everett launch around low.

Finally got out there this morning.  Quick 4 fish limit but the fish are small (as usual for this time of year).  60 to 75 feet down, Coho Killers & flasher.  They aren't picky.

Saw a Humpback whale just North of the Edmond's ferry.  Good 1st trip of the season.

Sunday was probably the best day on the water I can remember.  We had a leisurely 6:45 launch to see about 5 fat *censored* seals on the Everett dock.  Run to Jeff was very decent save a few monster rollers due to the 12' tide change.  Fishing was great, we caught the very tail end of the morning bite and practiced all sort of catch and release to get that out of our system before the main seasons open.  Water was great, weather perfect.

After we lost patience, we motored into Kingston for lunch, ice cream and a nice rest before running back to Muk for some anchored flounder fishing.  The kids reeled them in until they got bored and back home for ribeye on the grill and coho in the fridge for the week.

I was amazed at the color of the meat, they look more like sockeye than coho, should eat great.

We were catching them on everything, coho killers, hoochie, regular flashers, blinky flashers, purple, green, etc.  Shallowest was 15 pulls on a diver and deepest was 65' later in the bite and everywhere in between.
