Colorado Unit 22
« on: June 08, 2019, 10:14:44 AM »
Finally drew Unit 22 again after 10 years.  Last time I hunted there in 2008 I don't think I had any points or maybe one point.  I have been chasing since then.  Most of my hunting the unit has been on the west side of it on the border between 21 and 22.  I got a decent mule deer then, but am hoping for something a little better this year.  Wondering if anyone else has hunted that unit the last few years and how the hunting was.

Guessing you drew 3rd season?  JC killed a slug on that hunt last year.  I think it’s pretty good.  I contemplated that hunt in ‘17, but went high instead.  It worked out in my case; from experience, 3rd season can be awesome or an ass-kicker on the western slope.

Good luck!

I figured it would jump at least 2 points this year with all his advertising
