I have a place across the river (in the Chill) about 9 miles up. Stop by for a cup of coffee if you'd like.

Couple days in and been more of a scouting trip trying to find groups of does to start checking next week. No shortage of deer spotted in a day and half. 7 different bucks nothing that’s got me excited , little bucks with all doe groups chasing and fighting for each other. I think things will begin to change in the next 5 days .

Last night took me to a new area I glassed up a lone 3x4, 2 groups of does and one group had a small buck . Heard 2 bucks fighting , but could never glass them up. About 10 min of light I’m hiking back to truck and coyotes are going nuts and they sound like they are by my truck . I hurry to truck dump pack they are in draw just over from truck . I sneak over spot one at 374 dead yote. Getting ready to leave and 2 more start howling . Spot another and he’s 369 boom. 2 dead yotes. Good practice  :chuckle:

Headed home for 4 days of work then back for rest of season. Not getting the weather next week might find me hunting much higher.
