Burned up half a tank of diesel today, saw one cub bear.  A guy killed a 50” bull on a road after we drove through it, all about luck there.  Road hunting is brutal to me but I keep being told to cover ground, will do.

That's how it goes. It'll be a grind then your luck will change in an instant.

close call tonight, had a bull that sounded like a dinosaur until a truck drove by, then silence.  That was right at dark, hopefully he will be there in the morning. Tired, bed time!

Killed mine 17 years ago today in the Selkirk. I suppose almost to the hour.  I hope you are having a good hunt.

I hope your right, today was very quiet, heard a bull grunt about 3 times then went silent.  Still haven’t seen a bull on the road in 1,100 miles in the past week n half. But, looking forward to each day I have left. The anticipation is killing me, last day of this time of hunting is Friday.  Met a member who is showing us how to hunt moose, his help is priceless, and much appreciated.  Learning a lot the past couple days.

Trophy hunt,
Sounds like your talking to my hunting partner that you met up there. If that’s you, everything he tells you is as good as it gets!

Another quiet day, hunted an area I was sure had a good bull. It was a hole where a few canyons come together and a nice bull was seen just 2 days ago. Called for about 2.5 hours, nothing.  Later on in a different area we found a calf and I believe a cow was with it, prob hit that spot in the morning. No grunts at all today, going to get much colder tomorrow, hopefully rut action will pick up.
