X Force,
I have been really Blessed and I am greatful!
At my age I have submitted a lot of applications, but I don't feel I'm entitled to draw anything, happy when I do though!  8)

Spent my first day hunting. Covered some country.  Found a place with some fresh tracks late morning. Went back for an evening hunt. Saw four moose, two cows, two small bulls, much to small on day one.
Will see what tomorrow brings. Looking mostly in the Republic area today.

A little update from last week.
We (my middle son who is 24 went with me) saw moose on a couple occasions. Two cows and two small bulls. At the first sighting we saw a large cow and the two small bulls together. I could have easily killed either bull but they were way to small to take on the first day of hunting and maybe even to small for the last day  ;).
The next day, Wednesday, we saw one of the cows and one of the small bulls in the same general area.
The next day, Thursday, we concentrated on an area that two good size bulls had been seen in and covered as much of it as we could before noon. No moose were seen that day.
With a full moon and temps rising I decided to head home and get ready to take a couple of teenage boys, one of which is my youngest son deer hunting. Deer hunting was fun but while we did see legal bucks we were not able to get a shot at any of them. Planning for the next round of hunting.  8)

I'm going tomorrow for a day hunt, then back to the work grind for the next week, then if needed a week of moose hunting starting on the 18th.
