Looking for new boots for the upcoming season.  I've been running Salomon's for the past 5 years though have burned through 3 pairs and the last set wasn't waterproof out of the box.  Overall a great boot and I've chalked it up that they just need to be replaced after a couple hundred miles on rough terrain.  I like them as the country I most frequent is steep and rocky and the soft sole tends to grip better than my hard soled Danners.  The boot works great , fits great, its just pretty much thrashed after each season.  The Salomons are the cheapest of the three, so in anyone's experience, would the Crispi or Schnees offer same or better performance with superior durability?

Help me decide!  Inspriational picture of last years bull.  A testament to getting in shape, good boots, and going where nobody else will!

What will you be using them for, what kind of terrain, what time of the year?

The Crispi Colorado is a fairly stiff boot out of the box. Overall pretty comfy though for a lightweight/early season type boot. I can’t wear Salomons because the toe box is too narrow for me (at least the few I’ve tried on) so if they fit your feet right the Crispis may be too roomy down there.

I know no one likes rei, but they do carry a decent selection of better boots. Find ones you like and order online.
