STOLEN FISHING POLE
« on: June 17, 2019, 08:47:43 PM »
One of my best family friends fishing pole was stolen this weekend. It was not just any fishing pole but a family heirloom. It has been the only fishing pole he has fished with for the last 40 yrs. It was his grandpas and was going to hand it down to his first grandchild here soon. We were camping at Taidnapam park and the pole was in the back of his truck parked at his camp site. It is a long shot but i want to do whatever I can to help and try recover the pole. It was a yellow eagle claw , Mitchell reel, and electrical tape on largest eye. Please if you see it at a garage sale or pawn shop grab it there is a reward offered.  Thanks for looking and I hope this great community can find it somewhere.

Thank you  Nick

Sorry for his loss. Yesterday found stolen car that was involved in robbery earlier in the morning. While looking around the general area we found 8 guns, fishing poles jewelry, 5 computers etc. Ended up finding owners and they are getting everything back but the cash. I hate scumbags.

I had the same rod and reel set up many many years ago.  Not sure what happened to it, but brings back fond memories.  Unlikely, but hope you get it back.

:sry: I happen to have a yellow eagle claw pole, probably of the same generation. It resides deep in the back of my garage I would be perfectly willing to give it up especially if somebody was willing to fish with it. Not been able to get rid of it because of my dad fishing with it for a long time.  I threw all the Mitchell’s  away along time ago, wish I will hadn't.

I know it’s not the same but willing to send pics

They must have been popular, my dad had a yellow Eagle Claw with electrical tape and a Mitchell reel.  His was the four piece (I think) that came with the metal tube.

Hope you find it somehow.

I have a Mitchell spinning reel that could sit on top of it, if it works out.  Probably not the exact same vintage, but it would be in the wheelhouse.
