Today!
« on: March 30, 2009, 08:42:55 PM »
Took my dog out for a walk in the hills today. We went about a mile when i found that skull. I left it of course. It wasn't until i was walking back to the truck before i found any sheds. I spotted the 4 pt. shed about twenty yards away when i turned to go get it, my dog saw it too and i guess he figured that i had walked enough, so he went and got it for me. I got a picture of him on the retrieve and a good one of him holding it before i took it from him. Excited in my dog's interest in that shed we again set out for the truck. I was hoping he was going to start to understand the idea and start bringing sheds out of the brush to me. This was of course only a dream as i later watched him walk right over the top of the small 3pt.. I took the picture and then had him fetch the horn. All in all it was a good day for me and the dog.

Yes that was velvet on the skull. It must have died last summer.

 :yeah:

that's an awesome pic.  Better enter it.  They just announced the winner of the March contest, so I'll bet the April Contest thread is up.
