Looks like I better get busy, I've met some real nice folks through your classfieds, and have been happy with the deals made.

You can still buy stuff right? just cant sell it? I have heard of a few websites like this....

I think its good for keeping guys who want to sell crap quickly that there first post is.......

Hi been on here for a while, just never posted anything, um i got this...BLAH_BLAH_BLAH for a billion bucks, any one want to buy it?

Kinda goes both ways though, why give some guy off the street an opportunity to get a good deal that a member might have wanted?

If I understand it correctly, you can't view it or see it until you have 50 under your belt.

Answered most of my questionable questions by using the search archive button. Best question found was from an advance degree karate expert first time going out hunting deer in modern firearm carrying a 30-06 rifle and a 45 pistol wondering if he should also carry a sword. Just in case? Best answer was if you are afraid of needing to slay dragons maybe you also carry fire suppression equipment.

The warmglass forum was ruined from old timers (elite glass artists) complaining under budding artist's questions that basic methods and techniques had already been discussed repeatedly. Changed from a difficult to keep up with community of voices to near silence. Had all the answers down pat long before ever finding that forum. Thier classfied section postings are mostly low post count people that are done melting glass and just want to get rid of the equipment and supplies.

  8) Enjoying this hunting community. Thanks to all.

It's a good idea overall. If some regular members with low post counts just start telling stories, guessing photo locations and movie titles, they can get to 50 in a day. Not a huge deal. People who don't want to really participate in the site won't bother.

I am going to propose a policy change where members can vote a member off the site. This would work well to take care of guys who post a long series of stupid questions just to meet the classified post requirement.....or YAR members.... :chuckle:

EDIT: Forgot to add, totally support the decision.

I'm with Iceman on this one where do I vote! Trailer you have done nothing but convince me of one thing ... you are quite the guy    :chuckle: you may fit in better over on MM  :chuckle:

You won't be able to even access the classifieds forum unless you have the required 50 posts. can't even view them, so no, you won't be able to buy anything.
i would also assume that if people start putting stuff for sale in the other forums, the threads will be nuked and maybe the user would be  :ban: .

No worries Mark, as soon as I get through removing all their useless posts they will have to start back over starting at 10 ;)

Like to put a religious twist on this advanced karate expert story. 'Seek and ye shall find.' After all this is a hunting forum.

Sorry but tried searching back even used suppression as a search term. 9999 days is longer than this forum has been up so it can't be too far back in time.

Besides using the search function I've also clicked on names to the profile pages of anyone that seems to have an interesting response to something. Then followed back on see posts of these person and opened threads that seemed interesting. Not sure but thinking the path was following Vale deer hunting when it popped up.

For sour grapes approach it was a short thread with lots of single smiley face posts and +1s.

This rule (50 posts in order to utilize the classifieds) might need to be posted in the classified forum (if it's not already...I could have missed it)

I believe there are 3 new adds posted already today by folks that do not fall into the 50+ post catergory. Just FYI.
