Swfa ss scopes
« on: June 22, 2019, 07:14:09 AM »
Anyone have any experience with these scopes? Thoughts?  Price is low due to only being able to get them factory direct so no foundling them at the lgs.

Amazon has them. No experience with them.

they are on amazon but shipped from and sold by swfa only.  To keep cost down they won’t allow anyone else to sell their optics.  Talked to a “distributor” last week.  They can sell their other products but no optics

I like mine, I have the 3x15x42 on my Grendal.  Good clear glass and holds zero.  I shoot out to 800 yrds with it regularly.  Is there better glass?  Ya, probably, but not that I can afford.

Always heard good things about them. Don't have one yet though.

I received mine Friday night and got it mounted this morning.  16x42 fixed in moa.  Glass I feel is better than my vipers, it’s a bit heavy for its size.  Passed the tall target and box test this morning. Tracks true. As expected the 16x doesn’t like heavy mirage and the parallax numbers are off, again expected. Eye relief is generous which is nice for the unbraked 338/375xl.  With 60 moa rail I’m zeroed at 100 6.5 min off dead bottom giving me 105 min of dial and 35 in the reticle.  Will stretch it out further when I’m able.

Over all I like it and surprisingly good scope for $300.  May have to get a 10x for the ar

I have two 3-15x and one fixed 12x.  I've been happy with them.  Glass is very good for the cost and they hold zero and track accurately.  The only distance shooting I've done with them so far is 600 yards with the 30-06 and the 3-15x.  Hit the 8" plate repeatedly.  Swfa has sales often so keep an eye on the website.

No experience with their optics, but after my recent experience with SWFA’s business practices, I’ll take my money elsewhere.

I ordered a set of scope mounts on 6/13. Morning of 6/20, I called because I hadn’t received a tracking number. Woman I spoke with pulled up my order and said that they didn’t have it in stock, so it was going to be shipped by another company. She said she would reach out to them and call me back. I called back that day just before they closed because I hadn’t heard back, and she said she was waiting to hear back from the other company, and she would follow up with them the morning of 6/21, and call me back by 11am. On 6/21, I hadn’t heard from her by noon our time (2pm their time), so I called again. She initially said she heard back, but then asked to put me on hold so she could talk to her customer service department. When she came back on the phone, she said, “I’m sorry, my hands are tied and there’s nothing I can do. I’m not sure why they aren’t shipping it.” I cancelled my order right then, which she was nice about, but it seems shady to me to be selling something in your online store, that you advertise as being in stock, yet you have zero control over the order actually being fulfilled.
