Awesome. I filled my first tag with a small boar last night. Hope to hold out for a big one with my second tag I picked up today

I tried my hand at calling last year. Using "Deer talk" distress call. Had a few come in however my set up was not so great a few snuck up on me and were gone by the time I got situated. I was wondering how are you guys setting up when your calling? Tree stand, back against a big tree, fringes of clear cuts?

I've used the Deer Talk for years now, and it's done me well.  Listening to audio of fawn distress has helped me tremendously.  Pour your heart into it, lots of whimpering.  Forget your call this morning?   A blade of grass can bring up the same vocals.

Oh man.  Ive been thinking i need a stainless synthetic lever gun for bears, something that can hold up to rain.  Like this weekend is supposed to be cooler, but rainy.  Dont want to take the old antique blued / wood out in the rain.  Just found this online, and i think ive just got to have one.  Its even threaded for a suppressor.

Got my name on the list for one of the 1895 dark series when theyre available.  I intend to fill my second bear tag here this weekend, but hopefully ill have the dark for spring season.  May be rainy days in spring, dont want to get the old classic wet.
