Odd that neither dog had ID tags? You would think since they had garmin collars that they would have ID tags?
We stopped putting ID tags on our bird dogs collars. I've never had them survive more than 1-2 hunts and I got tired of replacing them.

Tags usually outlast the collars, I sometimes drill out the rivets to put tags on new collars that don't have a tag. These come with tags:https://www.dusupply.com/pro-oring-collar.htmlhttps://www.outdoordogsupply.com/product/1-1-2-super-heavy-duty-d-o-dog-collar-free-name-tag/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIg570uOWl4wIVAdNkCh3pqgHPEAkYAiABEgLny_D_BwE
Depending on the setting 24-72 hours, idaho has a lot of repeat names but if this is the fish creek off highway 12 they either ended up there by accident or the guy is a complete idiot. More wolves then you can shake a stick at and no roads.

Bear season been closed up there for 3 weeks Maybe they were running raccoons. Either way I will put the word out I used to hunt that area quite a bit. I think the dogs look to be in pretty good shape. Doubtfull they been out too long who knows.
If the owner cant be found I might be able to talk my wife into taking them home. especially if they throw in the collars

Can you put new batteries in their collars or recharge them? maybe the owner could track them then? I know its been a while but is it worth a shot?
I just saw on Facebook that they have been claimed.
Ill probably get flamed again but guy may likely be pissed someone took property that was not theirs. As he has been waiting on his dogs to return for a week and now has to pay pound fees.

It is a shame how there is always a negative comment in every post started. Bye !!!!!!!
